Travel suggestions for SkaftafellHow long? - you could stop an hour and walk up to the glacier face in an hour, however, you will probably want to stay at least a full day or longer. Accommodation - The camping ground is the main place to stay. The ground is full of stones so you need good tent pegs. There is a B&B in the area which I can't comment on. Food - the visitor's center sells supplies. Most visitors cook up their own meals in the camping ground. Transport - bus or car. Once there you get around by foot. Things to do
