War-Dead Memorial Park of Tokyo

This memorial commemorates the 160,000 Tokyo people who died in World War 2.

Architect was Takefumi Aida. Closest metro station is Korakuen. It's a few minutes walk over the river and north from the Suidobashi JR station on the Chuo line.

Other things to see in the area:

• Bunkyo ward office
• Close by is the Koishikawa-korakuen garden.
• The Tokyo Dome is next to the park although not much to see unless going for a concert or baseball game.
• Norman Foster's Century Tower is a few minutes walk down the river.
